Choc贸. Two fishermen who were adrift in the department of Choc贸, when they were fishing, were rescued after an hour of searching by units of the National Navy.
The fishermen had left the municipality of Bah铆a Solano to carry out fishing and testing the boat "Open Sea" that had recently been acquired. During the maneuver they suffered a mechanical failure that they tried to solve by their own means but it was impossible. Later, they faced a fuel leak that aggravated the situation.
Thanks to fact that the fishermen had sailed with the proper communication equipment, they contact with the Coast Guard Station of Bah铆a Solano through the VHF marine channel 16, reporting that they had been adrift for three hours.
Immediately, Coast Guard sent a Rapid Reaction Unit that after an hour of search found the boat with the fishermen and towed them to the municipality of Bah铆a Solano to safeguard the lives of the crew and recover the boat.
So far this year, the Pacific Naval Force has managed to rescue alive 130 people who suffered emergencies at sea.
