In the course of a joint operation by the military forces, with the support of the Attorney General's office, and as a result of an aero-strategic attack by the Colombian Air Force in the vicinity of the Ajajú River, in the Buenos Aires municipality of Calamar, Guaviare, it was possible to neutralize, in the course of military operations, ten members of the dissidences of the FARC, a criminal structure of alias Gentil Duarte and also capture three more members, who were wounded and assisted by combat nurses. Subsequently, they were evacuated by helicopter to a care center.
This terrorist structure whose main ringleader is alias Gentil Duarte is responsible for the recruitment of minors, as well as for planning and executing terrorist operations and crimes such as drug trafficking, illegal extraction of minerals and coercion of civilians in the Departments of Caquetá, Guaviare and Meta.
Within the most recent criminal acts made by this structure terrorist there are the kidnapping and subsequent murder of second lieutenant of the National Army, Carlos Arturo Becerra, in the municipality of Puerto Concordia, Meta, and the exploitation of civilians to indiscriminate attack members of the Military Forces that work of manual eradication of illicit plantations in the southeast of the country.
Officials from the Technical Investigation Corps, of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, were inserted at the scene of the events to carry out urgent acts and transfer the bodies to legal medicine, in order to determine the identities, sex and ages.
This result undermines the command and control of the residual organized armed group and alters the intention to rebuild the criminal structures of the dissidents who commit crimes in this region of the country.
In addition, criminal alliances for territorial control and drug trafficking routes abroad are being hit.
